Moving mess

So, we’ve finally got ourselves at the new place, and because I’m brave I’m going to show you a glimpse of the jumbled mess I’m dealing with right now. Wish me luck as I sort through it all!

Backyard – overgrown weed jungle. I’m hoping to set up a little chicken coop and run here. Yesterday I was happy to find out that other people around her raise poultry in their back yard, too.

A huge stack of boxes in the living room. I can’t seem to find my arms and legs right now, but it will all get done eventually.

The kitchen is a huge mess right now, but I hope you can see the potential. It’s actually my favorite part of the house. There are two sinks, a lovely granite countertop and a window that lets in plenty of light.

    1. That’s great to hear, Margaret. Of all my books, Land of the Lost Tribe is probably the one I’ve put most work and background research into.

  2. Anna, I can tell you what helped me when I moved- a neighbor told me, “It will be worth it when it’s done,” and I kept repeating that to myself.

  3. Wow! After that awful kitchen in the other house, I can see why you call this “Heaven”! Is that a double dishwasher? And, oh my! Where is the bottom of the stove? Are you still making do with the toaster oven? But yes, when you get it all sorted out, it will be WON-derful!

    1. Actually, that’s not a dishwasher, just a mismatched cupboard. And we’re getting a real oven soon! About time, I’d say, after making do with a toaster oven for a decade. I really look forward to working in this kitchen once everything is put in proper order.
