My mother-in-law has given me a whole bag of yarn which she doesn’t think she’ll use anymore. I haven’t quite decided what I’m going to do with it yet. There isn’t enough for a large project, but I will probably be able to make a hat or scarf or two. The smallest bits will go towards making doll clothes or hair.

I agree completely (i.e., survival > hobby). But also suspect it may not be too long before that ‘transition’ is reversed. Which probably explains why I’ve still got about 15 large garbage bags stuffed with unprocessed wool from sheep I’ve had over the years, (and also a few alpacas). I keep reminding myself that I need to get a spinning wheel and start processing it. But of course the ‘reminder’ is always easier than actually sitting down and doing it. Maybe tomorrow…. 😉
