Time for another garden update! I’m really behind on weeding, because we’ve had so much rain and the outdoors are so chilly and unwelcoming, but at least things are growing.
Tomatoes – one of the varieties we’ve planted.
My husband’s container potatoes. It’s his special pet project.
White beans… I did do some weeding here since this photo was snapped.
Garlic shoots are just poking out of the earth.
A row of mustard – we enjoy the tender young leaves in a variety of soups, stews and salads.
What about you? Growing anything? Or are you waiting for the thaw?

Ah so glad to see that things are growing well in Eretz!! LOVELY!! You must have a “green thumb” as well dear. Veggies and fruits there are worth the trip…I have often shared that with others. Wish we could live there…and perhaps one day we will…tho’ we are getting almost too old to even make the trip…but one can dream eh?

Elizabeth, far more than my (haha) green thumb, it’s the wonderful soil here. So soft and fertile. Everything just seems to grow as if by magic!

Hi, I live in Eilat, and I have a bucket by the kitchen where all the peelings go in, and since my mom takes the tomatoes seeds out when making a salad, I have now volunteer tomato plants in my garden, most of them cherry tomatoes, and they are delicious. Surviving the heat here are also lemongrass, sage, lots of basil, different kinds of basil, rosemay, lavander, eggplant, chard, kale, green onions and some flowers. Love the blog.
