We lit the first Hanukkah candle yesterday, and of course, couldn’t resist the temptation to make something fried (I always declare that I won’t, and the kids always talk me into it).
Then today we went for a little hike in the area where we live. The weather was beautiful, and the cyclamens and crocuses are beginning to poke out!
Wishing a happy Hanukkah to all my Jewish friends, and an enjoyable holiday season to the rest of ya’ll!

I’m attempting a Hanukah feast tonight. We are not Jewish, but I see the beauty in Jewish festivals and they dovetail so well with our own Christian beliefs. I too am waiting for Zion. And the temple to be rebuilt in Jerusalem. Love your blog 🙂

It is amazing to see the new flowers. Ours our asleep under a few inches of snow. Spring still several months away.

Winter is the time when everything here comes alive after the summer drought! I love winter flowers.
